TaskBid Platform Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction and Acceptance

These TaskBid Platform Terms & Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between each user ("User") and TaskBid Portal FZ-LLC ("TaskBid", "we", "our", "us"), governing access to and use of the TaskBid platform available at taskbid.com and through any TaskBid mobile applications (collectively, the "Platform"), as well as any information, content, or materials published on, or available via, the Platform (collectively, the "Content").

By accessing and continuing to use the Platform, each User confirms that they:

  • Accept these Terms
  • Understand these Terms constitute a legally binding agreement
  • Are at least twenty one (21) years of age
  • Have the authority to legally bind any business entity they represent

If any User does not agree to be bound by these Terms, such User may not access or use the Platform and should cease to do so immediately.

2. Who We Are and How to Contact Us

The Platform is operated and owned by TaskBid Portal FZ-LLC, a company registered in Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ), United Arab Emirates under license number 45009465.

Our registered address is VUNE0971 Compass building - Al Hulaila, AL Hulaila Industrial Zone-FZ, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.

3. Definitions

In these Terms, the following definitions apply:

  • Account: A registered account on the Platform.
  • Bid: An offer submitted by a Bidder in response to a Task.
  • Bidder: A User who offers services through the Platform.
  • Content: Any information, text, graphics, photos, or other materials uploaded, downloaded, or appearing on the Platform.
  • Credits: The proprietary points used within the Platform to access certain features. Credits have no monetary value outside the Platform.
  • Owner: The designated owner of a company account on the Platform.
  • Platform: The TaskBid platform available at taskbid.com and through any TaskBid mobile applications.
  • Platform Data: All data stored on or generated through the Platform, including but not limited to user account information, personal data, Tasks, Bids, messages, reviews, ratings, transaction records, Credits, company information.
  • Referral Program: The system through which Users can invite others to join the Platform and earn Credits.
  • Task: A request for services posted by a Tasker on the Platform.
  • Tasker: A User who posts Tasks on the Platform requesting services.
  • User: Any individual or entity that accesses or uses the Platform, whether registered or unregistered.

4. Changes to Terms and Platform

4.1 Changes to Terms

TaskBid may amend these Terms from time to time, with or without prior notice. The new version will be made available on the Platform. For material updates, TaskBid may notify registered Users via email or through the Platform.

4.2 Changes to the Platform

TaskBid may change the Platform's operation and/or Content from time to time without notice. This could be to reflect changes to features, technology, market practice, laws, regulations, and/or business priorities.

TaskBid reserves the right to assign and reassign permitted services available for Bidders at TaskBid's discretion without pre-approval or pre-notifications.

4.3 Platform Availability

TaskBid does not guarantee that the Platform and/or any Content will always be available or uninterrupted. TaskBid may suspend, withdraw, discontinue, or change all or any part of the Platform for business and/or operational reasons without prior notice.

5. Account

5.1 Account Creation

Although Users can browse certain areas of the Platform as guests, Users will need to create an Account to access the full features of the Platform.

5.2 Accurate Information

All information Users submit must be truthful, accurate, and complete. Users must update their information promptly if it changes.

5.3 Account Responsibility

Users are responsible for all activities that occur under their respective Accounts. Users should notify TaskBid immediately of any unauthorized use of their Account or any security breach.

5.4 Account Deletion

Users can request the deletion of their Account by emailing support@taskbid.com.

5.5 Account Termination

TaskBid may suspend, restrict, or terminate User accounts for material violations of these Terms, illegal activities, fraud, harassment, or serious misconduct.

6. Platform Operation

6.1 Role of TaskBid

TaskBid operates solely as a platform that connects service providers (Bidders) and customers (Taskers), functioning as an advertising medium. TaskBid is not a party to any agreement between Taskers and Bidders, nor is TaskBid a broker, agent, or representative of any User.

6.2 Taskers and Bidders
  • Taskers can post Tasks describing their needs, define timelines, conditions, and set preferences.
  • Bidders can compete for Tasks and submit offers, outlining their approach and price.
6.3 Selection Process

Taskers evaluate service provider profiles, reviews, and prices, and then select the offer that aligns best with their needs and budget.

6.4 Platform Liability

TaskBid IS NOT LIABLE for: Bidder (service provider) service quality, user-generated content (where moderation systems implemented), third-party actions (where reasonable safeguards exist). TaskBid IS LIABLE for: platform technical failures, data protection breaches, and violations of consumer protection obligations that cannot be legally disclaimed

6.5 Bidder Eligibility and Compliance

Bidders MUST:

  • Carefully and completely understand the required service requested by Taskers
  • Hold a valid license with business activities that match the required service
  • NOT apply for or execute any service that does not match their license business activity
6.6 Tasker Verification Responsibility

Taskers MUST:

  • Carefully read Bidder business licenses
  • Check that Bidders have valid licenses (including place, expiry, and permitted activities)
  • Verify Bidders are eligible to provide required services
  • Decline any Bidder who is not eligible to provide the required services

TaskBid bears no responsibility for any consequences resulting from a Tasker's failure to verify a Bidder's credentials, licenses, or eligibility.

6.7 RAKEZ Compliance

TaskBid operates under a license issued by the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ). All Platform operations comply with RAKEZ regulations and the Federal Laws of the UAE.

6.8 Verification Limitations

While TaskBid may implement certain verification procedures, TaskBid cannot verify all Users' details with absolute certainty. TaskBid's verification processes do not constitute an endorsement or guarantee of any User's identity, qualifications, credentials, or eligibility to provide specific services. Users acknowledge that they are ultimately responsible for their own due diligence prior to engaging in any service arrangement or interaction on the Platform

7. Company Accounts and Ownership

7.1 Company Ownership

The Owner is the owner of the company (if single one), or one of the company owners (if several co-owners) according to company registration. There can be only 1 Owner of a company on the Platform even if there are several co-owners of the company.

7.2 Owner Responsibilities

If an Owner ceases to be the owner of a company, the company must be immediately suspended. All damages caused by this company after the Owner ceased to be the owner are the responsibility of this Owner.

7.3 Company Staffers

A company may have staffers (employees) that can act on behalf of the company. The list of staffers can be changed by the company Owner at any time in the Bidder dashboard. The company is fully responsible for all actions of staffers that act on behalf of the company.

7.4 One Company, One Account

Each legal business entity may maintain only one Bidder account on the Platform. Creating or maintaining multiple Bidder accounts for the same legal entity is prohibited and may result in account termination without refund.

8. Fees and Payments

8.1 Platform Credits

The Platform operates using a credit system. Credits can be purchased or earned via the Referral program by inviting other users to the Platform.

8.2 Refund Policy

Payments and Credits are non-refundable where Users commit serious violations including fraudulent activity, creating multiple accounts, harassment of other Users, security breaches, illegal activities, or material violations of these Terms and applicable laws. For other Terms violations, TaskBid may consider partial refunds based on circumstances and services consumed. Refunds remain available for platform technical failures or service interruptions.

8.3 Price Changes

Bid prices (Credits amount) can be changed at any time without any pre-notification.

8.4 Credit Expiration

Add-on Credits expire if not used within 12 months from the date of acquisition. Subscription Credits are reset on each company's monthly subscription renewal date, and any unused credits from the previous cycle are forfeited.

8.5 Rewards for Invitations
  • Reward (Credits amount) for sharing invitation links can be changed any time without pre-notification
  • Company reward for sharing by its Owner is valid for invites activated after company approval only
  • Invitation sharing is pending (no reward) until the invited User places their first Task or registers a company that is approved by the Platform
8.6 Tax Considerations

All fees and charges displayed are exclusive of VAT unless explicitly stated otherwise. VAT will be charged at the prevailing rate (currently 5%) where applicable in accordance with Federal Decree-Law No. 8 of 2017 on Value Added Tax.

Users are solely responsible for their own tax compliance in relation to transactions conducted via the Platform.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

9.1 Privacy Policy

Please refer to the TaskBid Privacy Policy to understand how TaskBid collects, processes, and shares Users' personal data.

9.2 Task and User Data Visibility
  • Tasks can be visible to many Bidders, including Tasker personal data
  • Bids can be visible to other Bidders
  • Task descriptions can be visible to all Users of the Platform
9.3 Data Transfer

TaskBid may transfer all Platform Data in the event of any corporate change (including merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets) to successor entities, acquiring companies, or new legal entities. The recipient will be required to maintain adequate data protection standards.

9.4 Sensitive Information Prohibition

Users MUST NOT upload, post, or share any sensitive information in Task descriptions, Bids, messages, reviews, or any other Content posted on the Platform, including but not limited to:

  • Medical or health information
  • Information about children
  • Religious or political beliefs
  • Financial information
  • National identification numbers
  • Any personal information protected under applicable privacy laws

This prohibition applies to all content forms. Platform is not responsible for any damage caused by such content being shared or accessed.

9.5 Data Protection Compliance

TaskBid processes personal data in accordance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 regarding Personal Data Protection. Users have the right to:

  • Access their personal data
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal data
  • Request deletion of their personal data in certain circumstances
  • Withdraw consent for processing their personal data
  • Lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office

TaskBid may transfer User data across borders in compliance with UAE law, implementing appropriate safeguards for transfers outside the UAE.

9.6 Data Retention

TaskBid will retain User data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in the Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

9.7 Data Protection Rights

Users have specific rights: access personal data within 30 days, correct inaccurate data, delete data (subject to legal retention), data portability in structured formats, withdraw consent (where consent-based), object to processing, lodge complaints with government data office. 10. Reviews and Ratings

10.1 Feedback Purpose

The intention of feedback on the Platform is to improve quality of services, not to damage reputation.

10.2 Review Visibility

Reviews can be visible to all Users of the Platform.

10.3 Review Content Standards

Reviews must be factual, constructive, and based on genuine service experiences. Users may not post false statements, misleading information, insulting language, or malicious content that could damage reputation. Reviews containing defamatory content are not allowed on TaskBid platform to ensure compliance with applicable defamation and cybercrime laws.

10.4 5-Star Review System

The Platform uses a 5-star rating system:

  • 5-star: excellent experiences
  • 4-star: very good experiences
  • 3-star: good experiences
  • 2-star: satisfactory experiences
  • 1-star: acceptable experiences
10.5 Review Options

Users can turn off all reviews for their account in the dashboard.

10.6 Rating Calculation

Rating recalculation can be delayed up to 24 hours for technical reasons. TaskBid can change the rating calculation algorithm at any time without pre-notification.

11. Legal Compliance and Content Restrictions

11.1 Legal Compliance Obligation

All Users must strictly comply with all applicable laws and regulations in relation to their use of the Platform.

11.2 Prohibition on Defamation and Negative Content

Posting defamatory content about other Users or third parties is strictly prohibited. Such content, even if factually true, may result in serious legal consequences. In case of violation, the User must compensate for any damage caused to all affected parties.

11.3 Legal Responsibility for Content

Each User is solely responsible for all Content that such User uploads, posts, emails, transmits, or otherwise makes available via the Platform. TaskBid does not guarantee the accuracy, integrity, or quality of such Content.

11.4 Content Removal

TaskBid may remove any Content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable in TaskBid's sole discretion, without prior notice.

11.5 Cybercrime Law Compliance

Users must not post defamatory content, engage in harassment, or violate cybersecurity provisions. TaskBid removes content upon request.

12. Restricted Activities

Users must not:

  • Use the Platform in any unlawful manner or for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform or its connected systems
  • Interfere with, damage, or disrupt any part of the Platform
  • Introduce harmful material (viruses, trojans, etc.)
  • Impersonate any other person while using the Platform
  • Conduct themselves in a vulgar, offensive, harassing, or objectionable manner
  • Use the Platform to generate unsolicited advertisements or spam
  • Reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, trade, resell, or exploit the Platform or Content
  • Use automated methods to scrape the Platform and/or its Content
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code for the Platform

13. Intellectual Property

13.1 Ownership of Content

TaskBid is the owner or the licensee of all rights in the Platform and Content. The Platform and Content are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved.

13.2 Limited License

Subject to Users' continued compliance with these Terms, TaskBid grants Users a personal, limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable right to use the Platform and Content.

13.3 Restrictions

Users may print one copy and download extracts of any page(s) for personal use. Users must not modify these materials and must not use any illustrations, photographs, video or audio sequences, or graphics separately from accompanying text.

13.4 Commercial Use

Users must not use any part of the Content for commercial purposes without obtaining written permission from TaskBid.

13.5 Trademarks

All trademarks, logos, trade dress, service names, and service marks displayed on the Platform are TaskBid's property or the property of certain other third parties. Users are not permitted to use these marks without TaskBid's prior written consent.

14. Limitations and Liability

14.1 Software Issues

TaskBid is not responsible for any damage caused by software bugs, hardware or software issues, hacking attacks, or third-party issues.

14.2 Service Provider Liability

If a Bidder provides a service which they are not eligible to provide, they can be banned from the Platform and must compensate any possible damage caused to all related entities including Users and Platform.

14.3 Limitation of TaskBid Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TaskBid and its officers, directors, employees, and agents exclude all liability for any loss or damage arising from or in connection with:

  • A User's use of, or inability to use, the Platform
  • Any action taken, or omitted to be taken, as a result of Content on the Platform
  • The provision of services by any Bidder
  • Any contract entered into between a Tasker and a Bidder
  • Any representations, statements, or conduct of any Bidder
  • A Tasker's failure to verify a Bidder's credentials or eligibility
14.4 Indemnification

Each User agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TaskBid, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from such User's access to or use of the Platform, violation of these Terms, or violation of any third-party right.

14.5 Jurisdictional Compliance

Users are solely responsible for ensuring their use of the Platform and any services arranged through it comply with all applicable laws in their respective jurisdictions, including labor laws, commercial regulations, and professional licensing requirements.

15. Force Majeure

15.1 Definition and Effect

TaskBid shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations under these Terms where such failure is a result of Acts of Nature (including fire, flood, earthquake, storm, hurricane, or other natural disaster), war, invasion, act of foreign enemies, hostilities (whether war is declared or not), civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power or confiscation, terrorist activities, nationalization, government sanction, blockage, embargo, labor dispute, strike, lockout, interruption or failure of electricity or telephone service, or other events beyond TaskBid's reasonable control.
